What is Tecnix Business Consult?

Tecnix Business Consult is a Ugandan technology and business solutions company based in Kampala. We operate on two tracks: the TecnixOS Platform — a suite of SaaS products built specifically for Ugandan businesses — and a range of professional services covering business consultancy, ICT infrastructure, digital marketing, and ongoing support.

How quickly do you respond to enquiries?

We respond to all enquiries within 24 hours on business days (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM). For urgent matters, call or WhatsApp us directly on +256 773 109 280.

Do you work with businesses outside Kampala?

Yes. The TecnixOS platform is fully cloud-based (with offline capability) and works anywhere in Uganda with any device. For professional services such as onsite training, ICT setup, or implementation, we cover Kampala and surrounding areas directly, and can arrange upcountry visits by prior arrangement.

What products are included in TecnixOS?

TecnixOS currently includes four integrated products: Tecnix Ledger (finance, invoicing & URA compliance), Tecnix Roster (HR & payroll), Tecnix Stock (inventory management), and Tecnix POS (point of sale). Each product can be used standalone or as part of the full suite, all sharing one login and one database.

What is included in the 30-day free trial?

The 30-day free trial gives you full access to your chosen plan at no cost — no credit card, no dollar invoice, no automatic charge at the end. You can explore all features, import your data, and involve your team before committing. If you decide not to continue, your data is exported to you in full.

Does the software work without an internet connection?

Yes — TecnixOS is built offline-first. Your team can continue working normally during internet outages. All actions are saved locally and synchronised automatically to the cloud the moment a connection is restored. This is a core design decision, not an afterthought — because we know Uganda's connectivity reality.

How long does setup and data migration take?

For most businesses, setup is complete within 5 business days. This includes data migration from your existing system (QuickBooks, spreadsheets, or manual records), user account creation, and basic onboarding. Growth and Command plan subscribers also receive onsite training as part of their package.

Is my data stored in Uganda?

Yes. All TecnixOS data is stored on Tier III data centre infrastructure located within Uganda. We are fully compliant with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 (PDPA). Your business data is never routed through foreign servers. Command plan subscribers can additionally request a private data environment.

Payment & Billing

Can we pay via MTN MoMo or Airtel Money?

Yes — both MTN MoMo and Airtel Money are accepted. Bank transfer is also available. All invoices are issued in UGX. We do not issue dollar invoices and there are no foreign exchange surprises.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. There are no long-term contracts on monthly plans. You can cancel at any time and your data will be exported and handed to you in full. We believe you should stay because the product works for you — not because you are locked in.

What is the 90-Day "Works For Uganda" Guarantee?

If you use TecnixOS for 90 days and it does not save your team at least 5 hours per week in administrative work, or if it does not handle your UGX operations, mobile money, and URA compliance better than your previous setup — we refund every shilling. No questions asked, no legal notices required.

Technical

We currently use QuickBooks. Can we migrate our data?

Yes — and the migration is free of charge. Our team handles the full data migration from QuickBooks, Sage, Odoo, or spreadsheets. The process typically takes 5 business days and you retain all your historical records.

What devices does TecnixOS run on?

TecnixOS runs on any modern web browser — on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Tecnix POS supports both touch-screen tablets and keyboard-driven desktop setups. No software installation is required.

Do you provide ongoing support after setup?

Yes. All plans include WhatsApp support during business hours. Growth and Command plans include priority phone support. Command plan subscribers additionally benefit from a dedicated account manager and a service level agreement (SLA) guaranteeing 4-hour response times and 99.5% uptime.

What professional services does Tecnix offer beyond software?

Alongside the TecnixOS platform, we offer business consultancy (URA tax returns, TIN registration, KCCA licensing, company registration), ICT services (web design, networking, CCTV, domain registration), digital marketing (SEO, Google Ads, social media management), business emails & bulk SMS, and ICT support & maintenance. Can you help with KCCA trading licences and URA registration?

Yes. Our business consultancy team handles the full spectrum of Ugandan regulatory compliance — including URA tax returns, TIN registration, KCCA trading licence processing, URSB company registration, motor vehicle transfers, board resolutions, and general tax advisory.
